After an exciting wait, the final list of 23 athletes was officially announced on July 9, 2023, offering an inspiring mix of seasoned pros and fresh talent. Among these gifted women, three remarkable players – Inna Palacios, Isabella Pasion, and Maya Alcantara – have earned the honorable title of reserve players.
Guarding the net, we have the formidable Olivia Davies-McDaniel, an experienced goalkeeper from the Philippines Stallion Laguna, and her fellow goalkeepers, Kaiya Jota and Kiara Fontanilla, both bursting with promise. Our defenders’ lineup includes international names such as Malea Cesar, Jessika Cowart, and Hali Long, who has a fantastic record of 18 goals, a rare feat for a defender!
The midfield sees the strategic prowess of players like Jaclyn Sawicki, Tahnai Annis, our inspiring captain, and Ryley Bugay, all ready to control and dictate the pace of the game. Anicka Castañeda, with her impressive tally of 11 goals, is another key player to watch out in the midfield.
Our forwards are just as intimidating, with Sarina Bolden, Isabella Flanigan, and Chandler McDaniel leading the charge. Meryll Serrano, Carleigh Frilles, and Katrina Guillou, who has netted the ball 10 times, make up the rest of the powerful forward lineup.
From the frosty fields of Iceland to the sunny coasts of Australia, and even the bustling stadiums of the United States, our squad boasts a diverse range of athletes, all united under the flag of the Philippines.
